Tarquin’s Cornish Cocktail Masters Competition- calling all bartenders!
We’re looking for a cocktail to celebrate (a little late) Tarquin’s Gin’s second birthday. The terrible twos: jazz and blues. That’s our theme for the 2015 Cornish Cocktail Masters.
THE GRAND PRIZE:
A trip to Cornwall to visit our distillery on a two day Cornish food, drink and activity experience. Plus the chance to create your own one-of-a-kind bottle of personalised Gin, with the expert help of our Founder and head Distiller Tarquin.
10 London competitors will receive a gift pack.
3 finalists will receive something a little extra.
Email through your cocktail creation – with a simple photo, cocktail name and full list of ingredients to:
10 Cocktails and their creators will be shortlisted and invited to LONDON to present their cocktails to our judges on 23rd November 2015.
3 will make it to the final “mystery hamper” round. There will be only one winner.
Open to all of the UK.
Cocktails must include at LEAST 35ml – Tarquin’s Cornish Dry GIN.
Use of Cornish Pastis is not a requirement, but is encouraged.
Cocktails MUST be based (think puns!) on a choice of one of the following 10 JAZZ & BLUES songs:

THE LONDON FINALS:
Date: 23rd November 2015
Arrival time: 12pm
Venue: Merchant House (Well Court, Bow Lane – Bank Tube)
The judges: Tristan Stephenson, Jared Brown, Tom Dyer, Carey Hanlon
The 10 competitors will have to craft and present their creations in turn (5 mins per creation) to the judges – judged on taste, originality, presentation (both the drink and the delivery) and links to the chosen Jazz/blues song.
3 finalists will be selected to go through to the “mystery hamper” round. The finalists will have 15 minutes to look through their hamper, select their ingredients and think up an original cocktail serve. Each finalist will present their drink in turn and a winner will be chosen.
